Oh… justice (?) after 26 years!!

Background
1. In 1982 government had undertaken some of the mills in Mumbai ( poddar, poddar process, Apollo, Jupiter, Kohinoor, tata, digvijay etc. )

2. The national textile corporation had refused to pay the dues.

3. The “ rashtriya mill mazdoor sangh” fought the case on behalf of workers and won it AFTER 26 YEARS.


Fact

1. These dues were ranging from “some two digit number-some three digit numbers”!

2. Even the maximum amount is too low to spend for one week’s meal also!

3. “Bonus paid” as it was written on the slips of some of the workers but the matter of fact is, according to those workers, that they never received any “bonus” in these years.


Some persecuting questions
1. How this small amount is going to help, today?
2. Is that money going to extricate them from suffers of last 26 years?
3. How one of the big cities, in the biggest democracy of the world, has people waiting for their own money (that also such a small amount) for long period? (Some may not be alive also now!)
4. Lastly, how this unfortunate incompetence of us (you, me, government, everyone) can be celebrated as JUSTICE?????
